JUNIOR CONTROLLER

We are looking for a Junior Controller to join our dynamic team in Amsterdam located in a modern and representative office building. Within this role, you will be part of the finance team and will work closely with other team members, but will also work together with the investment and asset management team.

As Junior Controller, you will be involved in a growing investment fund with both residential and retail assets. Within this role you will develop both financial and business/investment control skills. By having this diversified role, you will have sufficient opportunities and challenges to develop yourself within an experienced team. Also, you will get a high level of responsibility quickly, where we count on you! Moreover, you will work together with colleagues from the Asset Management and Investment team.

The main tasks are i.a.

• Assist in managing and reviewing of outsourced accounting and reporting process
• Assist in execution of monthly/quarterly fast closing procedures and reporting
• Support preparation of quarterly lender and investor reports
• Involved in acquisitions and disposals
• Support in the yearly valuation cycle
• Support in fund return calculations and monitoring
• Support with Innovation and Automation
• Liaise with external property managers, external corporate accountants, lawyers, and banks.

Your educational background is within finance (in a broad sense) and you have 1 – 4 years of professional experience in auditing or controlling – preferably with affinity for investing and real estate. An internship also counts as experience. Your language skills in Dutch and English, written and spoken are fluent and you have strong skills with MS Office.

You are a team player, but at the same time a self-starter where you take the initiative to solve tasks independently. You thrive on solving hands-on tasks and are careful, analytical, and structured in your way of working. At the same time, you are well balanced and cope well with hectic situations. As you must be able to perform at all levels in the organization, it is important that you are a good and clear communicator of technical accounting messages. Good social skills are a prerequisite for fulfilling this role and being successful in Orange Capital Partners’ culture.
